For over 40 years Russia has been a reliable gas supplier to Europe. Nord Stream is a new link between the supply source and the customers. The company creates an additional gas route which ensures a guarantee of gas supply for Europe’s growing needs.

  Nord Stream has integrated the management of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) into its overall Company Management System. This consists of the HSE Policy and the HSE Management System which defines the principles, standards and procedures for implementing HSE in the project during the planning, construction, commissioning and operational phases.

The project planning and implementation will be performed in consultation with all the Baltic Sea countries. The pipeline to Germany directly connects Russian and European gas networks. The project is open for peripheral pipelines to other Northern Europe countries.
