Ship-to-Ship Pipe Loading in Slite, Sweden
For the use of Slite as an interim storage facility, a ship-to-ship system was developed whereby pipes delivered by sea from Mukran are transferred directly to a transport ship situated on the opposite side of the pier. The pipes are thereby trans-shipped directly from one ship to another.
