Logistical Measures from Construction through to Laying the Pipeline

The Nord Stream Pipeline is currently the largest logistics project in the Baltic. The project includes efficient and environmentally friendly logistics plans. After the pipes are produced in Germany and Russia, they are given a concrete coating. They are then stored at five ports in neighbouring Baltic states, and transported to the pipelay vessels from there. Aboard these vessels, the pipes are welded together and laid on the Baltic seabed.
