Recovery of a PIG Receiver from the Water – Part 2
After the underwater welding of the pipes (Hyperbaric Tie-In, or HTI), the PIG receivers are recovered from the Baltic Sea. PIGs (Pipeline Inspection Gauges) are intelligent inspection devices that are regularly sent through the pipeline in search of corrosion damage and leaks.
