Jens Peter Schmidt, from the Landesamt für Kultur und Denkmalpflege Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (State Office for Culture and the Preservation of Historical Monuments for the German federal state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern), explains the salvaging procedure when recovering wreckage, its removal, and its preservation on shore. Divers from the salvage ship MS Havgus film the recovery of individual pieces of a wreck.
