Pipe joints for the construction of the Nord Stream Pipeline are stored close to the EUPEC concrete coating plant (the building with red roof) and the port of Mukran on the German Island of Rügen. Once coated, the pipe joints are transported either directly to the pipelay vessel at sea or to interim stock yards which will supply the pipelay vessel via supply vessels.
