In May 2008, the first pipe joints for the Nord Stream pipeline were delivered to Mukran (Rügen Island, Germany). Before construction starts in 2010, about one third of the pipe joints - or 400 km of pipeline - has to be concrete weight coated and delivered to various stock yards around the Baltic Sea.
