Carrier vessel Hawk transports the Castoro Dieci through the Strait of Gibraltar
Alongside the Castoro Sei (C6) and the Solitaire, the Castoro Dieci (C10) is the smallest of the three pipelay vessels. Without its stinger and truss it is still 113-metres-long and 35.6-metres-wide. This flat-bottomed vessel is designed to operate in shallow waters. The C10 is designed to lower the pipe-string to the seabed along the agreed route at a rate of about 500 to 800 metres a day.
