Marshalling yard in Slite, Sweden
Nord Stream regards the use of Slite on the Island of Gotland as both economically and environmentally beneficial for the main interim stockyard. Its location enables short transport distances to the pipeline route. The advantage of the rather short distance from the pipeline route is the substantial reduction of the volume of shipping and the resulting environmental impact.
