Nord Stream Logistics Concept Infographic (Detail)
The five ports chosen for the Nord Stream project are all less than 100 nautical miles (185 kilometres) from the pipeline route. This ensures that carrier vessels delivering coated pipes to the laybarges can complete a round trip within a day. Minimising transport distances also reduce emissions.
