Nord Stream Munitions Clearance (Mine)
Between 100,000 and 150,000 mines were deployed in the Baltic Sea, particularly in the Gulf of Finland, during the First and Second World Wars.
Nord Stream developed a plan for the removal of munitions to ensure that the pipeline is safe and the effects on the Baltic Sea environment and on marine life are minimal.
