COVID-19 Information

April 9, 2020 | Zug, Switzerland | Nord Stream AG is closely monitoring the current development of the novel coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) and implementing the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO) and other relevant authorities, such as Switzerland’s Federal Office of Public Health.

The company’s main priority has always been, and remains, the health and safety of its employees. We have anticipatedly introduced various precautionary measures to protect each of us from the virus spread. These include travel restrictions throughout the company and special protective measures at the headquarters in Zug, the landfalls in Germany and Russia, and the company’s branches. Comprehensive regulations for working from home have also been put in place. At the headquarters in Zug and both landfalls, minimum number of people are present at the workplace to ensure that reliable operations continue.

The Nord Stream pipeline system was designed and constructed in accordance with modern standards, which means that all safety functions are fully automated and the pipeline can be operated securely by minimum personnel.
