Bird populations are observed from land, ship and planes to assess if they have been affected by increased turbity or construction activities. Nord Stream is conducting the most comprehensive environmental research of the Baltic Sea's flora and fauna to date. Monitoring will take place throughout construction and operation of the pipelines.
